You just spent a lot of money getting your camera and you want to see what the machine can do! Quickly how to attach canon camera strap, attach the lens and off you go, right?

Not correct! Improper attachment of your camera strap can result in a fatal camera accident and possibly some (or more) tears. Lauren from Photography Concentrate shows us the right way to attach a camera strap and gives us a few other tips: Many of us put the strap upside down in the plastic fasteners. Although it seems safe enough, the strap could slide straight with a fairly strong jerk.

Here is the solution of how to put strap on canon camera

1. The plastic fastener must be on the right side up. As Lauren emphasizes, it has two plastic straps with the fabric of the strap in the middle.

2. Guide the strap from the outside in through the attachment points of the camera.

3. Create a game by pulling up the strap in the middle of the plastic tie. This should create a big loop.

4. Pass the end of the strap through the holder and into the back of the plastic tie.

5. Pull firmly on both ends to secure the strap in the clip.

6. Voila! A safe belt for you and your cheerful camera!

Here's another tip: Most major camera manufacturers offer belts with small folds at the end. These folds mimic the curvatures they display when properly inserted into the camera mounting points and plastic clip.

Make sure you find a comfortable strap for yourself. Standard belts work very well, but are sometimes very stiff. Try a neoprene tape for heavier cameras or longer photo days. It will bring softness and a little bit more and more. You can also consider a wrist strap that can help relieve tension. Or use both for optimal camera holding capacity!

And for those of you who got it right all the time, pat yourself on the back for your extra logical skills.
